How to Prepare for a ThetaHealing Session

(Full Body) Muscle Testing

Muscle testing is a technique to elicit answers from our subconscious using body responses. Thanks to Muscle testing techniques, it is possible to identify limiting beliefs we may hold and patterns we may be running. It can also help us uncover feelings stored in your subconscious mind and body.

In Theta Healing® we use muscle testing that is commonly used in Kinesiology. Muscle testing allows both the practitioner and the client to get visual confirmation of suspected unhelpful beliefs or things that do not apply to the client. Anybody can do it because it uses your electrical system and your muscles. When looking at subconscious beliefs, your body will respond with a weak impulse to no answers, strong responses in case of affirmative answers.

Process:

  1. Drink water to be properly hydrated

  2. If you have a good magnesium supplement, you may want to take some

  3. Stand up facing north, feet firmly on the ground about shoulder width apart

  4. Close your eyes and repeat “Yes Yes Yes”, and let your body sway forward a little like a pendulum without stepping forward

  5. With your your eyes still closed, repeat “No No No”, and let your body sway backward without needing to take a step back

  6. Now muscle test some beliefs to confirm you’re calibrated properly:
Close your eyes and say “My name is (your name)”. Let your body naturally move forward or backward to show you the answer, without trying to force an answer either direction. If your body moves forward upon stating your name, you are calibrated correctly. You can now test other questions of which you know the answer to test your calibration. If you get a “no” (swaying backwards) answer to you stating your name, then it could be, that you have to many foreign energies around you or that you are not well hydrated, don’t have enough magnesium or that your polarity is switched. If any of this is the case, ask your practitioner to help you resolve this issue.

While there are other ways of muscle testing or dowsing, they are not recommended for beginners when doing ThetaHealing sessions because of the risk of the mind interfering and delivering false answers.

Practice the above type of body muscle testing a few times before your session so that you feel confident in the process.

We also recommend, that before every session you do the following to get the best results:

  1. In the days leading up to your session, take notes of what is coming up for you, what are you feeling aggravated about, what is getting on your nerves, what is challenging, difficult? Do you suddenly doubt you should go ahead with the session or that it will work? Are you suddenly wanting to “get distracted” wanting to do something else, like attending to an “emergency”  rather than focus on yourself and your healing and wellbeing? Don’t let yourself back out or your appointment unless it is truly unavoidable. Our subconscious is very powerful and can in some cases orchestrate a catastrophe to keep you from healing a topic you wanted to discuss, if your ego is afraid of it or wants to protect you.

  2. Get very clear on what you want to work on. Write it down to have it handy when your session begins, so that you can in a short, precise manner explain what work you would like to have done and what you would like to achieve with the session.

  3. 15 to 30 minutes prior to the session, you should have no other commitments or other things to do anymore. Make sure you are in a quiet space where you can focus on yourself without distractions. it is a good idea to meditate or listen to calm music before your session. Some people like to think about what they want to have resolved. If you can do this without getting all angry or worked up, go ahead.

  4. Make sure you have your dial-in information ready

  5. Go to the toilet before your session

  6. if you haven’t eaten in many hours, have some fruit or nuts or something else that’s light that your body can easily handle without you getting tired during the session. Avoid eating a lot of carbohydrates before the session and ideally skip meat before the session as well.

  7. Do not drink alcohol or stimulants before the session. Do not take drugs other than prescription drugs before the session

  8. Please be ready on time, your session will last for the maximum booked time even if you are late.
